MS Artania 1984 is in the fleet since 2011. MV Artania cruise ship was built in Helsinki Finland for Princess Cruises as Royal Princess and christened on November 15 1984 by HRH Diana Princess of Wales in Southampton England. MS Deutschland 1998 is chartered during the summer months only.
The COVID-19 pandemic spread to a number of cruise ships with the nature of such ships including crowded semi-enclosed areas increased exposure to new environments and limited medical resources contributing to the heightened risk and rapid spread of the disease. In April 2005 the vessel was transferred to the fleet of PO Cruises UK and renamed ms Artemis. Artania itinerary amended to skip Port Elizabeth and head straight to East London.
The current Phoenix Reisen ocean fleet includes the liners. The ship offers roundtrips from Bremerhaven.
