Aft Or Middle On Cruise Ship
Aft back of the ship.
Aft or middle on cruise ship. Aft may get some noise or vibration from the aft thrusters and some lateral oscillation from the rotation of the propellers. But other reasons not to want that location. As cruise ships tend to bob on waves and slightly roll from side to side the heart of the ship is its only part that stays virtually in the same place.
At least on a cruise my room was about 23 aft and got that type of movement which I think came from the propellers. Concerns will always be raised by certain passengers especially travellers who prefer a mid-ship position but this perception often stems from traditional cruising. Ships move side to side as it moves in the water so midship is the most stable part of the ship.
Another advantage to an aft cabin and especially true on the very back of the ship is the wonderful panoramic view. The aft portion of a cruise ship tends to be quieter as well as its farther removed from the midship bustle of activity that might be just a few decks above or below you. L like top deckjust to avoid noise from those abovewhich is VERY minimaljust like better views in portLower cabins can.
We do not get motion sickness that I know of. The forward of a ship is just as it sounds. Midship is the best choice for you if you have motion sickness.
On a typical cruise ship cabins are spread out all over the place high and low and to the front middle and back. Just beware while not the worst cabins on a cruise ship for motion sickness aft cabins can reflect the motion of the ocean. The aft gets some movement but substantially less than the front of a ship.
1 week to the Mexican Caribbean. This is true whether your balcony looks aft or faces to the side at the back end of the ship. What do yall think between a mid ship or aft location.
