Aft Cabins On A Cruise Ship

Since there are not as many cabins in the aft section of the boat there is a lot less traffic and noise in the hallways.

Aft cabins on a cruise ship. It might be dependent on the ship. You wont have to go far to find the fun from a high-up cabin. Its the most forward side at the front of a cruise ship facing the bow.

If so does the balcony wrap at all to the port side of the ship. But we dont like the aft balcony cabins as we do not wish to see where we have been. Aft cabins can feel more movement from the ships thrusters.

Most times the ships do dock with the port side facing inland. This is true whether your balcony looks aft or faces to the side at the back end of the ship. We like port side where we can watch as we approach the port and as we leave the port.

Aft cabins tend to be very popular because they offer wonderful views of the wake of the ship and dont usually have a lot of neighbors. The white noise from the ships wake is pretty neat. Perhaps less popular than the other room types listed above aft cabins are also among the most underrated places to stay on a cruise ship.

Has anyone stayed in 7172 or 8168. Being at the aft of the boat was an advantage location-wise. If youre super sensitive to this consider something closer to the middle of the ship.

I guess since the ship has a sloped back you cant look right down to the water but would have a great view of the wake in. Just beware while not the worst cabins on a cruise ship for motion sickness aft cabins can reflect the motion of the ocean. Also feedback on the other aft cabins on these ships would be helpfull.
